Reiki

Reiki is not a religion, nor does the client have
to maintain a specific belief system in order to benefit from it. However, it is
very spiritual in nature and does require the heart-centered, focused intention
of healing from the practitioner. It will work regardless of the client's belief
in it.
Reiki is not a replacement for traditional medical care, but a compliment to it.
It can alleviate medical side-effects and help quicken recovery time from
medical treatment side effects or surgery.
Reiki For Animals
Reiki works the same with animals as it does with
people. It will produce relaxation e
ffects
within the animals' inner energy channels and outer energy field.
The Reiki energy is naturally accepted by the animals, as they are inherently
tuned into it. In other words, there is usually no resistance, as you sometimes
find with people.
Using Reiki in an animal shelter situation or with highly distressed or injured
animals can work wonders, as it is able to be applied safely from a distance -
either in the presence of the animal or at another location.
I have found that many animals prefer Reiki in "hands-off" applications.
Sometimes it is much easier for the practitioner and more comfortable to them.
