I am an independent contractor for Reiki Rays of Hope for Caregivers, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to empowering professional and private caregivers by teaching them Level 1 Reiki for free or at little cost.

Through several pilot experimental projects and subsequent classes, Reiki Rays of Hope for Caregivers, Inc. has provided caregivers with the ability to use the healing powers of Reiki energy on loved ones, patients, and themselves.

The overwhelming feedback from students has shown that Reiki can be a relief from the hopelessness and depression often suffered by those constantly faced with caring for others. With a strong bent toward self care, these eight-hour, Reiki 1 classes (specifically designed for this target group) can provide caregivers with a sense of well-being and relaxation for themselves, while giving them the gift of Reiki for use with those in their care.

Those who would qualify for Reiki I class sponsored by this organization are the following:

1. Professional caregivers (nurses, aides, nursing home staff, healthcare practitioners, etc.)

2. Parents and caregivers for children with special needs (Autism, ADHD, etc.)

3. Family and caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc.

4. Caregivers having their own stress-related health challenges
